City Legal at LegalEx 2017

City Legal at LegalEx 2017

6 Apr 2017

City Legal Translations took part in the 2017 edition of LegalEx. LegalEx is the UK’s largest legal event specifically designed to help the most ambitious law firms grow and the most progressive legal professionals develop. It took placeat the ExCel Exhibition Centre in London on March 28th and 29th.

The two-day event saw record attendances and City Legal had a great response, in terms of catching up with existing clients, forging some new partnerships, and even taking an order on the stand which was, according to Commercial Director Dan Peachey “a first in 30 years!”

“It’s so important for our clients to be able to put faces to names and LegalEx facilitates that, being in London, with free entry and with so much to see and do for the legal professional”, Dan continued. “We had such a strong response that we’ve already booked for LegalEx 2018 and look forward to seeing old friends and making new ones.”

Dan also gave two seminars at the conference, based on the importance of legal translation and how to handle it. “It’s such an unfamiliar world for many in the legal firm”, he continued. “Legal translation is handled by so many different people in different firms- from Senior Partners to Trainee Solicitors and Secretaries. It was so valuable to get real insight into the expectation of those in the industry is and talking to people about their good and bad experiences with the industry. It varies from case to case, but I strongly believe our 30 years of experience as legal experts and our experience working with 19 of the UK’s Top 20 law firms gives us a great standing to help firms get translation and interpreting right.”
